I’ve never been big on R&B but there have always been songs that have slipped under my skin and stayed with me thru the years. Kelly Rowland kinda kills this song with David Guetta. I didn’t even know she was over in that space. Loving the look and feel of this scene as well… it’s like Steve Aoki got to her.
The homie Ryan Weight put together this beautiful vision of what LA is like. The score really helps paint a vivid picture of a city so full of fallen angels. From the shores to the mountains to the streets and the hood, City of Dreams tells all.
You know we love spacey ish…
Created as a collaboration between World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Ben Lee and Leo Burnett, “Space Monkey” carries a message about our planet, and features Ben Lee’s track, “Song for the Divine Mother of the Universe”.

I first heard of this guy while researching for an editorial in Beige Magazine. He was famous for graphic paintings of fierce warriors, warlords and battle scenes. He had a particularly beautiful way of painting women as thick and voluptuous creatures… but still strong and mighty. I drew a lot of inspiration from him for how I viewed Battalion Armour. His vision will be missed even as his imagination lives on in my work and I’m sure the work of many others. May he rest in peace.

My father first introduced me to her and her music. I watched her play on tv when I was small and always thought of her as an angel. She stands tall with the likes of Eartha Kitt, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald and too many others to name… women that did it back when this world was still divided by race. They found a way to smile and blaze a path that we now call our everyday. She will be missed but not forgotten. I hope she rests in peace.
When people go, I like to remember them in a way that puts a new picture in my head. Helps me forget that I’m losing them, but also leaves a lasting impression. Here’s how I’m dong that with Lena. A Gap commercial that I never saw until today:
If you’re lucky enough to catch Conan O’Brien’s sold out tour you’ll be rolling before he even steps out on stage because of a guy name Reggie Watts. Viewer discretion is advised:
